What you need for this position:
-A BSCS, BSSE, BSEE, BSEET, or related degree is preferred. MS degree is a plus.
-At least 5 years in Software Engineering project development.
-Able to plan and complete work with minimal input from others.
-Has solid personal performance traits, such as dependability, extra effort, good problem-solving skills, good communication skills, etc.
-Knowledge of MPEG, MPEG-2, ATSC, HDTV, RF, DVB, and/or DTV a plus.
What you'll be doing:
-Staff Software Engineer is expected to be able to estimate work and design software well.
-He/she is expected to be able to contribute with minimal help from senior engineers.
-A staff level Software Engineer understands his/her own part of the system well and can fix issues with that part of the system.
-He/she may rely on senior engineers for guidance but can perform mostly independent design work
