Summary of Position
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Project Manager - Implementation Consultant with strong ERP (SAP, Oracle) implementation and project management experience and/or 3rd party tax engine requirements and configuration experience. Candidate will work closely with technical project teams and partner teams to implement and integrate enterprise tax automation software with customer's ERP, Billing or eCommerce systems.

Responsibilities
- Project manage and lead teams in the implementation and integration of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software
- Perform process requirements (eg, OTC, PTP) and analysis workshops with clients to define business, process, functional requirements and data element requirements
- Consult and provide guidance with best process, project scheduling, resource availability for successful tax automation implementations
- Manage project schedules, budget allocations, define statements of work, manage change control and change requests
- Troubleshoot software and implementation issues, provide workaround and functional implementation guidance
- Support customers in preparing and documenting tax use cases and testing scenarios
- Identifies and proactively drives high quality project deliverables, dependencies, and critical path items - proactively manages changes in project scope
- Controls project deliverables, scope & expectations, and coordinates project progress with sponsors, steering committees, and senior leadership
- Creates and executes on all project documentation including definition of charter, project scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets ensuring alignment with business goals
- Develops and tracks to detailed project plans including schedules, technical and business requirements, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, and issue resolution plans
- Independently coaches, mentors, and motivates project teams to influence a positive, accountable, and collaborative approach
- Effectively communicates project expectations to all team members and stakeholders including business representatives, partners, customers, and consultants

Qualifications

Required Experience, Skills & Education
- Candidate is required to have Bachelor Degree, BS/BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting & Finance, indirect tax or equivalent
- 7+ years functional experience or 4 full life cycle implementations of major ERP systems ie SAP, ORAC
- Alternative of 5+ years experience implementing tax technology 3rd party solutions such as Vertex, Taxware, ONESOURCE, Sabrix.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax concepts and/or international tax
- Functional experience in defining business, data and process requirements OTC and PTP
- Project management, Team lead and implementation consulting experience

Additional Preferred Experience
- Certified Project Manager (PMP)
- Big 4 or Thomson Reuters Certified Partner experience and/or tax technology consulting firm experience

Location = Eastern US Timezone
Travel - 25 - 40% travel based on customer projects and assignments
