Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal! CGI is seeking a Database Analyst to support the DHS in Arlington, VA. Position requires US Citizenship and must be eligible to obtain DHS clearance.
Position Summary:
- Designs, implements and maintains moderately complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods.
- Maintains database dictionaries, monitors standards and procedures and integration of systems through database design.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and maintains databases and appropriate stored procedures as needed.
- Performs configuration and modifications to the databases; follows CMMI processes to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy functionality.
- Maintains database schema's and database dictionaries
- Monitor database performance and tune the database to maximize overall performance.
- Develop standards and guidelines for acquisition of software and protection of vulnerable information.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new databases.
- Assist with the development of database documentation, requirements analysis, and database maintenance
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related IT discipline
- Minimum of six (4) years of experience in Database Design, Development, and Test and Evaluation.
- Three (3) years of experience in database development in the following:
o Demonstrated experience programming/coding/scripting in PHP, Java, .NET, PL SQL
o Demonstrated experience with SharePoint designer including data views and InfoPath forms.
o Demonstrated experience with enterprise development tools such as Visual Studio 2010.
o Demonstrated ability to utilize a database and or lists.
