We are a growing St. Louis, Missouri-based Cloud company seeking a LINUX TEAM LEAD/Linux Administrator/Linux Engineer to join our talented team! This role is a full-time, permanent SECOND SHIFT position. Hours are roughly 2pm-10:30pmam.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Providing leadership to Engineers/Systems Administrators
- Acting as the escalation point for unresolved customer issues
- Providing a superior customer experience through incident and request management
- Ensuring effective communication with internal and external customers
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Previous systems administration experience
- Experience with Linux and Open Source in an enterprise environment
- Scripting in Bash, Perl, PHP or Ruby
IT WOULD ALSO BE GREAT IF YOU HAD (but not required):
- Prior management, team leadership or supervisory experience
- Understanding of basic network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP,and FTP
- Experience with Apache and Tomcat
- Understanding of load balances and/or Firewall security
