PHP/HTML 5 Application Developer

Position Requirements:
The position is for an experienced PHP developer with 3+ years of professional experience in similar roles. Expertise in both languages is required. Candidate should have achieved a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems. Additional expertise in ASP.NET and C# is a plus but not required. Experience in building interactive features using HTML5 is required.

Candidate must be proficient in SQL Server to include designing tables to achieve business requirements. Candidate must be proficient in requirements analysis and elicitation of requirements from business stakeholders. This position will not be aligned to a single project. The position will involve work on multiple projects, often multiple at one time in various stages of the development life cycle. Some project assignments will be under the direction/guidance of another developer and some assignments will be solo. Experience with PGSQL is a plus but not required. Experience with complex Front End work in addition to Server Side work is required. Proficiency in jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, and breaking down user interface artwork in to HTML and CSS is required. Experience with.NET desktop applications is a plus but not required. Experience developing interactive courseware or interfacing with a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus but not required. Familiarity with Team Foundation Server is a plus.

Besides contributing to new projects, the candidate needs to be able to maintain and enhance existing code with minimal direction. Problem Solving is critical for success in this position. Candidate should have experience with secure coding practices namely mitigation strategies
