Scottrade, Inc. has a Senior Business Systems Analyst position available in Saint Louis, MO.The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support of all business and technical areas by means of research, analysis, testing and documentation of larger and more complex systems and/or procedures. Serve as liaison between business and technical teams, providing ongoing research and analysis in support of the day-to-day business operations

Responsibilities:

* Act as a translator between technology and business: assist in providing a comprehensive view of the system, its functionality and integral parts enabling greater collaboration amongst all stakeholders from both a business and technical perspective. Elicit business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis. Provide technical, system and/or data definition through the preparation of detailed flow charts, diagrams and models outlining system capabilities and processes. Perform full lifecycle requirements management through continuous validation of requirements. May act as a liaison to third party partners in support of research, systems and business process analysis.
* Provide support to the technical teams through validation of business logic. Provide analysis models and system interface analysis to assist with the technical specification development. Participate in technical spec review to ensure that the application and database design meet the approved requirements and achieve business and technical inter-operability. Perform validation through traceability that the product meets the approved requirements and ensures system cohesiveness and compatibility within a product/project.
* Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan and Test Cases for projects, or Test Cases for non project changes. Schedule and facilitate UAT before production deployment to secure stakeholder approval expected functionality. Support Quality Assurance efforts through review of QA Test plans, Test case summary and assisting with QA defect resolution.
* Support the initiation process by providing high level current and future state analysis, stakeholder and systems integration assessment documenting options and making solution recommendations; ensuring clearly defined/documented scope.
* Define and plan for analysis activities in support of project scheduling. Monitor analysis milestones and critical dates to identify any potential jeopardy of schedule.
* Support production deployment, and provide warranty period resolution management.
* Train and mentor BSA team members and provide ongoing support.
* Contribute to the growth of the analyst role by researching industry standard practices and making suggestions for adopting new procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Highly proficient in elicitation and documentation of requirements, data and systems analysis.
* Strong understanding of business processes, data, applications and systems interfaces; and how they interrelate.
* In depth knowledge of end to end systems development life cycle methodologies.
* Ability to write complex business, data and system software requirements, taking responsibility for the creation of all analysis, traceability and validation documentation required throughout the life cycle.
* Excellent team building skills in working with all levels of staff and management in leading projects, developing and communicating standards and procedures and directing problem resolution.
* Exceptional interpersonal and writing skills.
* Skilled facilitator, highly proficient at gaining cross-departmental consensus; understanding, translating and communicating abstract concepts/ideas.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to be able to work with problems that are complex and often unique using technical knowledge to determine resolution strategies aligned to business needs.
* Ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
* Self-starter, ablity to work with little supervision or direction in a rapidly changing environment independently, or as a team member.
* Ability to work on several projects at once, manage details, plan and execute effective follow through and meet deadlines; providing cross project analysis coordination for programs.
* Solid understanding of financial services industry utilities/interfaces as they apply to the firm. Ability to learn and maintain an understanding of Scottrade business practices and the technology that supports them. Ability to continually update skills in technology, brokerage/banking industry, and business analysis through training and project work.
* Ability to analyze business processes and create flow, models and diagrams in support of software development and process improvement efforts.
* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Project or other planning tools.
* Intermediate level proficiency with database query or reporting tools.
* Expert level proficiency with Visio, technical writing and testing tools.
* Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
* Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all Scottrade associates and by having a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree required in MIS, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 5+years experience in business and/or system analysis, project discovery and investigation required.(2+ years experience with Scottrade systems/applications may be applied towards this requirement).
* Experience with Legacy systems, software package or new application development, large-scale business re-design projects and data migration required.
* 5+years Financial Services Industry experience preferred.
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) certification preferred.
