ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR SOFTWARE DELIVERY CENTER LEAD, RESEARCH IT & AUTOMATION(Job Number:1304447)

Description

Position Summary: Establish a new strategic capability for delivering a blended, end-to-end Application Development and Operations service model for Research IT and Automation (RITA); Support of on-going operations at its New Jersey, Connecticut and India sites; Recruit and manage a team of highly skilled IT professionals, and be responsible for assigning resources (Demand Management) to large and small projects, operational and support-related activities. Additional responsibilities: Work with other local site-leaders to create a culture that encourages and rewards innovation and cooperation, while focused on delivering business value. The role will report into the Director, Research Architecture and Delivery (RAD) located in NJ, and will have strong accountabilities to Director, Research IT Services (Operations) located in Connecticut.

Qualifications

Desired Experience:
1.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical degree; or equivalent experience 10+ years' experience in Information Technology, with 5+ years' IT Management Experience 2.Direct Line Management of multi-tiered organizations 3.Demonstrated Demand Management experience allocating people resources across a broad application portfolio. 4.Project Management of mid-to-large scale IT projects (PMI certification desirable) 5.Demonstrated experience in developing and executing against a formal SDLC 6.Experience with several Agile methodologies (eg, SCRUM, Kanban) 7.Demonstrated communication skills (written and spoken) with technical and business staff and at all organizational levels 8.ITIL Foundation certification desirable 9.Experience in working in a regulated environment preferred 10.Experience with automated testing tools and test management software desired Familiarity with formal process improvement methodologies (6-Sigma, Lean Sigma) desired 11.Experience with Monitoring/Dash boarding/Business Analytics desired
