Desktop Support Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician to join our client in Springfield, TN.

Job Responsibilities:

- Configure and deploy PC's, laptops, printers and peripheral equipment
- Install and configure software for PC's and laptops
- Implement desktop hardware and software standards
- Provide 2nd level technical support for local office and supported remote users
- Assist with the configuration of Servers for the enterprise
- Assist with management of server performance to include file Servers, database Servers, web Servers, domain resources, and DHCP and WINS Servers for the LAN/WAN
- Document all process and changes with Servers
- Perform system backups and data recovery. Resolve network communication problems
- Utilize Service Manager 7 to coordinate support activities
- Track hardware and software unitizing asset management procedures
- Provide weekly status reports to departmental management
- Participate in desktop related project as assigned by management
- Commit to thorough documentation and knowledge sharing at all times
- May perform other duties as assigned
- On call for after-hours support

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent technical education
- Two to three (2-3) years of technical support experience for end user or network computing with hands on experience supporting desktop PC in a Windows XP and Terminal Service environment.
- Two to three (2-3) years of configuring PC's, installing network cards, modems, memory shops, etc.
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience installing and configuring software.
