Solutions Architect needed for cloud computing company in Texas! Solutions Architect We are a growing startup company in Houston working with Cloud storage solutions. We are currently looking for a Sales Solution Architect to join our team. The Sales Solution Architect will be part of the Sales & Services team and will be responsible for definition, development, rollout and enablement of solutions. The ideal candidate for us will have a back ground working with Software and the cloud storage arena. This person will have a strong understanding of enterprise sized software installations as well as a solutions oriented architecture back ground to determine where/how a solution can best fit a customer.

What you need for this position:
- Must have been a pre-sales engineer or equivalent skill for 3+ years
- 5-7+ years of enterprise Unix/Linux/OSX experience
- Solid experience with Linux Scripting languages †Perl, PHP, Python
- Knowledge of Firewalls, load balancers, access points, switching
- Strong experience with enterprise wide software installations
- Demonstrated success with solution oriented sales
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities.
-Delivers and customizes technical presentations on products and builds new presentations for use by sales and other software consultants. Explains product capabilities, limitations, and implementation and can describe technical tradeoffs and implementation alternatives.
- Analyze customer needs and implement solutions through research and troubleshooting and recommending a solution.
- Actively participates in sales calls involving complex technical requirements or multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and application software.
- Participate in a team responsible for the design, implementation, automation and deployment of systems †including network, and systems management of server hardware and software within Client.
- Identifies and develops innovative solutions to customer requirements. Is also responsible for explaining and researching the technical capabilities of products vs. our competition.
- Focuses on large and/or complex sales opportunities requiring complex solutions.
- Provides demonstrations and presentations for Seminars and Tradeshows.
- Research, compose, and deliver responses to RFPs. Interacts with clients to clarify requirements and reviews RFP responses for technical accuracy.
- Collects business and technical information from clients regarding requirements.
- Installs solutions at client sites as part of Proof of Concept (PoC) or pilot.
- Collaborate with business units, engineering, marketing, professional services, sales, alliances, and partner engineering organizations to design, validate, and build collateral.
- Work collaboratively with product and engineering organizations during the development, launch and continuing refinement of products and solutions.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to concurrently manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects; self-starter.
