Job Description:
To provide high level analysis of institutional activities, inter-departmental relationships, workflows, procedures, and existing technology; and recommend ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance revenue and effectiveness of overall operations through automated solutions.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is from $80,560 To $120,840 Annually, commensurate with experience.
This position is a pay Band Code CS24.
Specific Job Related Duties
Maintains laboratory supported GNL IT systems in an operational state. This includes, but is not limited to, the laboratory data storage and archiving systems, virtual computing environment, standard office automation equipment (PC's and printers, etc) and various specialized computing systems within the laboratory.
Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all supported GNL IT systems.
Identifies and evaluates new products by consulting with the GNL IT Director to identify technical solutions for laboratory needs.
Prepares cost/benefit analysis for technical solutions.
Works with Office of Non-Clinical Regulated Studies staff for the successful deployment of IT systems used in regulated studies.
Maintains industry and professional organizational standards.
Adheres to internal controls established for department.
Works with the GNL IT staff to ensure all IT services are satisfactorily delivered.
Performs related duties as required.
Work Schedule
Standard 40 hours a week, but may be required to come in to resolve technical issues after hours.
Preferred Skill/Competency
Database, server, network administration preferred.
EMC storage, virtualization preferred.
