Pearson K-12 Technology is actively seeking a Scrum Master to join us in a full time role. Qualified candidates will have thoroughly enjoyed working as a Scrum Master in the past and be passionate about supporting an expert team to create great software. Our Scrum Masters are responsible for facilitating an agile based software development team consisting of development, QA, and user experience team members. This position will report to the Director of Project Management and based in our Sandy, UT office.

Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate project planning, daily scrum meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
- Ensure team is practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
- Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, point estimation and task definition
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
- Improve the productivity of teams by identifying and removing impediments, as well as preventing distractions that interfere with ability to deliver the sprint goal
- Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution; empower teams to self-organize
- Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially shippable
- Recommend process improvements to the organization and lead their implementation
- Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information

Qualifications
- 2+ years project management experience
- Certified Scrum Master with Scrum Master experience a plus
- 5+ years experience on a software development team
- Self-starter with strong creative problem solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Great project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Bachelors Degree required, MBA a plus
- Knowledge of and experience in the K-12 and/or education technology industry preferred, but not required
