Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Software Design and Development (80%)
- Actively participate in the Agile SCRUM process with the team.
- Participate in the design of systems to be developed.
- Provide time and cost estimates for software development.
- Conduct design and code reviews as required.
- Assist in mentoring other developers.
- Work with manager or team lead to validate technical solutions used for business requirements.
- Assist in development of standards to be used by the development team with respect to use of tools and methodology.
- Follow prescribed procedures for code documentation, revision control and system documentation.
- As assigned, participate as a member of project teams, meeting accepted milestones.
- Communicate modifications, schedule adjustments and known issues to project management.
- Work with Operations during the transition from development to deployment.
- Software Quality Assurance (15%)
- Perform unit testing on developed modules.
- Create automated unit tests for use by developers and QA.
- Work with QA team to evaluate, identify and correct software defects.
- Career Development (5%)
- Stay abreast of industry practices and technologies to be used in the development process.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-5+ years professional object-oriented development experience
- 3-5+ years of experience developing Web- and Windows-delivered solutions using Microsoft technologies
- 3+ years of experience with .NET development - C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and web services
- Proficiency with SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript
- Experience with Agile SCRUM process preferred
- Team Foundation Server experience preferred
