Job Summary:
This highly-visible position is responsible for leading the requirements gathering and functional design phases in software development projects for TALONes, a Dealer Management System (DMS). May develop work plans and estimates for the business aspects of software development projects, manage the requirements gathering process, create functional designs and documentation, present concepts to key stakeholders and communicate status to ensure planned delivery. Through this work, the position is responsible for gaining business process expertise in impacted areas.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience is required. If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of (8) years.
Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years of successful experience writing functional specifications and documenting business systems requirements.
Demonstrated communication skills to effectively provide and receive information relative to assigned projects.
Requires strong organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills to handle changing priorities, tight schedules, and correction of critical systems outside normal working hours.
Demonstrated attention to detail and quality measures.
Demonstrated customer service focus.
Demonstrated experience with project methodology.
Experience with testing and quality assurance practices are a plus.
Experience with writing queries against a database is a plus.
Functional knowledge of retail, motorcycle, or automotive industries is a plus.
Accounting experience is a plus.
