Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing the product strategy and managing the development lifecycle, gathering, documenting and prioritizing product/customer requirements and specifications for product releases of the TALON Dealer Management System (DMS) solution for the U.S. H-D dealer network. The TALON DMS Manager will also be responsible for developing and managing the roadmap planning and providing functional leadership in the development and implementation of the TALON DMS solution. This strategic role will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the TALON DMS product effectively meets the needs of our U.S. dealer network.

Leadership responsibilities include:
- Managing the TALON DMS product team
- Leading the strategic direction of TALON DMS solution
- Leading the TALON DMS project work from inception through completion.
- Developing and maintaining TALON DMS roadmap
- Contribute as a member of Retail Systems leadership team
- Directing and mentoring TALON Developers
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders from various cross-functional areas to define and plan projects.
- Developing and presenting business cases.
- Developing and managing third-party software requests for information (RFIs) and/or requests for proposal (RFPs).
- Coordinating and executing third-party software selection.
- Developing work plans and estimates for product management aspects of TALON DMS software development projects.
- Partnering with other department managers to ensure work plans, estimates, and escalation process flows are clearly defined, effective and efficient.
- Identifying, establishing, and leading continuous improvement initiatives for Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems (HDDS).

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required
MBA degree is preferred

Experience Required:
Minimum 7 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a technical environment
Demonstrated 7 years of experience in a technology/software development role
Strong experience in Microsoft Technology Platforms preferably Microsoft.net
Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic technical projects/programs
Demonstrated leadership skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Process oriented, but must also be flexible and innovative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with the Harley-Davidson dealer network is a plus
