Job Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the requirements gathering and functional design on software development projects for one of the products developed by Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems. The software solutions are to be accomplished according to the defined software development release plan and according to the established software development process. Additional leadership responsibilities may include:
Leading or co-leading project work through completion.
Collaborating with resources from various cross-functional areas, both within Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems(-TALONes, CONNECT dealer CRM, Global DMS, Retail Reporting, Market Analysis, H-Dnet, Planning/Quality, Implementation, Knowledge Center, and Technology/R&D) and within the broader Harley-Davidson community to assist in the definition and execution of projects.
Developing and presenting business cases.
Developing and managing 3rd party software Requests for Information (RFIs) and/or Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
Coordinating and executing 3rd party software selection
Developing work plans and estimates
Identifying, establishing, and leading continuous improvement initiatives for the product team.
Serving as a functional subject matter expert for the product throughout the software development and product lifecycle.

May develop work plans and estimates for the business aspects of software development projects, manage the requirements gathering process, develop and/or manage various aspects of 3rd party software selection, and communicate the projects' status to ensure planned delivery. Through this work, the incumbent is responsible for gaining business process expertise in the area impacted by the project.

Education Required:
Requires bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or equivalent. If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of (8) years.

Experience Required:
Minimum 2 - 3 years in a Senior Analyst or Technical Analyst role and/or relevant Systems or Business Analyst experience.
Minimum -3 - 5 years of successful experience writing functional specifications and documenting business systems requirements.
Demonstrated communication skills to effectively provide and receive information relative to assigned projects.
Requires strong organizational skills and excellent problem-solving skills to handle changing priorities, tight schedules, and correction of critical systems outside normal working hours.
Demonstrated attention to detail and quality measures.
Demonstrated ability to make appropriate business decisions.
Demonstrated customer service focus.
Demonstrated experience with project methodology.
Experience with testing and Quality Assurance practices are a plus.
Experience with Client Server technologies, CRM platforms, SQL, and/or C#/C++, VB.NET, or Java programming language is a plus.
Experience working in retail, motorcycle, or automotive industries is a plus.
Accounting experience is a plus
