Description:

The Defense and Maritime Business Unit is seeking an Oracle Data Base Administrator at the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center (MCNOSC), in Quantico, VA.

This work will be in support of the Marine Corps Computer Network Defense section within the MCNOSC. The Oracle DBA will provide On-Call DBA support, ArcSight Manager Admin, Backup/Recovery (RMAN), Enterprise Manager (DB Console and/or Grid Control). The MCNOSC CNDS Oracle DBA will also implement Oracle Streams Replication, and perform NetApp SAN Administration. In addition, the candidate will work in a MCNOSC CNDS team concept which will conduct Performance tuning, Partitioning, Oracle CPU Patching, Cluster Admin and DB Updates. Senior Oracle DBA.

The candidate shall provide the following Oracle support services:

- Resolve all MARCERT Oracle DBA related incident tickets and provide a Oracle DBA Status Report on a weekly basis on DBA incidents escalated from the service desk.
- Provide DBA Documentation to service desk personnel on the procedures for completing the task.
- Escalate DBA tickets to Tier III and other sections.
- Maintain the overall health of technologies associated with Oracle Database Infrastructure.
- Monitor the health of Database Infrastructure with provided event management tools.
- Provide project support for Database Infrastructure related technologies.
- Coordinate with other sections on Oracle DBA issues.
- Escalate Oracle DBA issues to third party product vendors.
- Implement monitoring tool thresholds and conduct proactive event remediation.

Qualifications:
Required Skills

- Operational/Production Oracle Database Administration

- Very Large Oracle Database Administration (> 10TB in size)

- Database Automation & Scripting

- SQL Server Administration

Education:

- BS in Computer Science degree and 4 years of relevant experience or 10 years of relevant experience will equate to BS degree requirement.

Clearance:

- Secret and the ability to get a TS.

Certifications (DOD 8570 Required):

- Security+ w/Continuing Education Credits

- Certified Ethical Hacker OR CISSP (6 months after hire)

- Oracle 10g or 11g Certified Professional Database Administrator
