Description:

SAIC is looking for a Oracle Applications Developer/DBA for a large DoD IT development program. This is a 3-6 month assignment. The job location will be at the customer site in O'Fallon IL. This position will require 75% travel to the customer site if not located in the O'fallon area.

Skill Description: Oracle Developer/Administrator

- Create users and assign appropriate privileges;

- Perform/enhance backup and recovery strategy using Veritas Netbackup and Oracle RMAN;

- Develop packages and procedures to support ETL process;

- Develop views and triggers;

- Tune SQL and loading process to identify potential tuning improvements (indexing, partitioning, etc );

- Support application developers (ETL, BI, etc) in SQL writing and tuning;

- Create/support a materialized view replicated application;

- Forward engineer database object DDL from Erwin and create objects in database;

- Develop Unix scripts that use SQLplus to access the oracle database;

- Monitor database to identify potential slow running SQL or high resource utilization SQL;

- Develop a performance and capacity plan. How to proactively determine if you system is capable of support future growth; and

- Support developer and testers in troubleshooting database problems. (space, tuning, SQL issues, etc)

Qualifications:
Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree in related field and 6+ years related experience.

Clearance Requirements:

- IT 2

- Adjudicated National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC)

- Secret Clearance

Certification Requirement:

- Security+
