The Integrated Systems Group of SAIC has a career opportunity for an Oracle Database Administrator in Alexandria, VA.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Oracle DBA will be part of a team that focuses on all aspects of database administration of Oracle Applications including configuration, auto configuration, product upgrades, capacity planning, backup and recovery. Some travel required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform day-to-day database administration tasks for different development and test environments.
-Performs complex database administration assignments essential to the production and development of Oracle database.
-Support of software development and maintenance teams, include database analysis, security support, performance monitoring and tuning, and general technical expertise.
-Develop and perform database backup and recovery scenarios
-Integration of COTS applications using Oracle Enterprise databases.
-Database administration and support of service requests for Oracle 10g/11g environments.
-Create user accounts and assign required permissions, roles, and responsibilities.
-Query Performance Tuning.
-Support in implementing Oracle Internet Directory, Single Sign-On and integrate with an agency-wide Enterprise Identity Management system.
-Support implementing Standard Query Language (SQL)*PLUS, PL/SQL, database constructs such as procedures/packages/triggers development and optimization experience to facilitate installation of Oracle UPK (User Productivity Kit).

Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of overall related experience. A valid high school diploma and eleven years of experience in a related field may be substituted in lieu of the degree. Additional training, technical certification, and/or years experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
-Specific Operational/Production Oracle Database Administration experience.
-Perform database administration activities on large databases (up to 1 TB).
-Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of Oracle RAC and ASM.
-Experience with Database Automation & Scripting.
-Linux knowledge.
-Currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience in implementation of services in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) .
-Experience working with SOAP web services.
