Summary:

Performs job duties based on communication of documented processes and project direction, in gathering requirements, performing analysis and supporting the development and testing processes. Has a good understanding of the business applications, data and associated technologies for their current functional area. Utilizes an established knowledge base of the applications, data, and associated technologies for supported business areas, creates, documents and executes test cases and scripts and reports results.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyzes and interprets requirements, design and technical specification documents.

2.Based on requirements, design and technical specifications defines required tests and corresponding test data.

3. Assists in development of and executes to formal test plans per established guidelines to ensure quality delivery of the application under test.

4. During the testing process, monitors the application/system for exceptions and other items requiring post-test attention.

5. Develops testing documentation (ie, test cases, test scripts) and obtains approval of the documentation from the testing manager, business owner and other stakeholders.

6. Executes tests developed and records results.

7. Conducts gap analysis discovery between expected outcomes and actual outcomes.

8. Analyzes and recovers from test execution anomalies.

9. Conducts test activities as assigned.

10. Manages multiple priorities at the same time.

11. Adheres to departmental and corporate policies and procedures.

12. Participates in relevant training programs, when available and offered.

13. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, or a relevant area, or equivalent technical skills and experience.

Years and Type of Experience Required:

Required:
- 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of requirements in different testing levels (ie, unit, integration, system, UAT).
- Exposure to and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods and relationship to testing activities.

Preferred:
- Work experience in a healthcare environment.

Language Skills

Required:
- English

- Direct, hands-on experience using commercial test management software.
- Proficiency using; MS Office Suite, Windows operating system and the Internet to conduct research and to download information.
- Understanding of database tables, relations, data types and values.
- Understand data modelling concepts (ie, the entity-relation model) and their application: entities, and tables, relations and constrainsts, attribute data types and column data types.
- Ability to conceptual ideas with practical applications.
