Key Role:

Serve as a senior data analyst, assist senior-level decision makers with building their agenda, analyze and implement effective execution strategies to achieve sustainable results, lead delivery of complex change programs that enhance the client's business, drive thought leadership in the development of business solutions for the workstream, lead a collaborative team environment, and manage assigned discrete workstreams. Focus on applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related quantitative expertise while using corresponding tools and techniques to solve real problems with text mining of narrative fields in support of the civil client. Work closely with clients and subject matter in the areas of using NLP techniques to facilitate removal of sensitive data (PII), using machine learning techniques to automate the tagging of key search data elements, using NLP techniques in support of text analytics, sentiment analysis and fact, and using statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze and extract relevant information from unstructured data sets.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with big data analysis
-Experience with programming using languages, including C, C++, or Java
-Experience with Scripting languages
-Knowledge of at least one NLP tool
-Knowledge of analytics and data visualization
-Knowledge of spreadsheet-based analysis and reporting
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a professional work environment
-Experience with projects involving NLP and text mining, using NLP tools, or developing NLP solutions
-Experience with programming to implement NLP solutions
-Experience with a statistics packages, including SPSS, SAS, S-PLUS, or R a plus
-Knowledge of key NLP techniques, including part-of-speech tagging, syntactic parsing, semantic analysis, information extraction, or ontologies
-Knowledge of Oracle RightNow a plus
-Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and self-manage assigned task to support team's workstream
-BA or BS degree in Mathematics, Information Science, or in a quantitative related subject preferred; MA, MS, or MBA degree a plus
