Job Description: Enterprise Architect
CGI is looking for a Sr. Enterprise Architect (EA) with experience in structured analysis, designing methodologies and tools, Object Oriented principles, and experience with the logical and physical functional, operational, and technical architecture of large and complex information systems. The EA must understand a company's business and be able to dive deeply into technology issues. Successful EA will demonstrate they're on the cutting edge of enterprise software and SOA.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
-Establishes enterprise system information requirements in supporting the transformation from as-is enterprise architect to the to-be architect . Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards of Federal Information Technology Systems.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade, and benchmark and interface definition studies to formalize customer requirements into systems architecture specifications.
- Review, Assessment, and Strategic Planning support on Emerging Technologies, such as Cloud Computing.
- Assist the Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) in responding to all data calls related to the EA program, including issues internal and/or external to the Federal agency.
- Provide impact analysis and alignment assessment; specifically in areas of IT program/projects, Business Process Maps (BPM), and Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC).
- Influences and collaborates with constituents across a broad range of organizational units, and builds consensus across stakeholder groups to articulate information requirements.
- Developing and maintaining current state and future state architectural artifacts for conceptual, logical and implementation levels of abstraction.
- Balancing long-term strategy and short-term project goals.
- Socializing information architecture principles and artifacts.
- Introduce innovative ideas.
- Conceptualizing and articulating alternatives to problem resolution.
- Effectively communicating architectural results and their value.
- Best Practices: Drives technology solutions and standards through the organization; interacts and communicates effectively with internal and external customers as needed to clarify business, operational, or technical requirements to include.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Experience in supervision of enterprise architects, use of structured analysis, design methodologies and design tools, Object Oriented principles, and experience with the logical and physical functional, operational, and technical architecture of large and complex information systems.
- Excellent knowledge of database solutions, application services, messaging backbone, application integration and architecture patterns.
- Deep expertise around industry best practices in the various aspects of IT, technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions to implement key business strategies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with technical organizations and management teams.
- Ability to establish rapport and drive consensus and change at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations.
- Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
- Hands-on experience in modeling Enterprise Architectures for a Federal agency, applying EA frameworks such as FEAF, DoDAF, TOGAF, and/or Zachman.
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

- Experienced in one or more of the following: E-business (online store), public-facing websites, Order Management, Warehouse Fulfillment, Credit Card processing Center, SAM Data Mart, Oracle E-business Suite, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Maximo, and/or Transportation Management.
- Broad understanding of how to define architectures that satisfy security, scalability, high availability, and network management/monitoring requirements; experience is specifying system performance requirements, network utilization targets, and system resource budgets.
- Experienced in providing Lifecycle Upgrades to existing software and hardware.
- Enhance application security using NIST standards.
- Experienced with COTS integration.
- Institutionalize industry best practices related to IT Service Delivery.
- Previous experience working with relational databases (Informix, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server).
- Excellent large-scale design and implementation skills with broad and deep experience in algorithms, service bus and multi-threaded programming.
