Description:
The Navy and Marine Corps Business Unit has a job opening for an IT Project Manager to work at our customer's site in Washington, DC.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Organize the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to the customer by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with network, server, database and computing systems.
- Manage software integration and development efforts.
- Ensure that all phases of support, including installation, upgrades, and configuration issues are properly coordinated, tracked, monitored and resolved.
- Oversee IT projects and provide strategic management and objectives for the organization and develop and manage training programs to educate users on the various IT systems
- Provide technical supervision for the administration, operation, and maintenance of the facility's IT systems and resident applications
- Oversee improvement initiatives focused on maximizing the effectiveness of existing IT resources to enhance business operations, identifying and managing risk associated with the baseline infrastructure, as well as recommending strategies on the integration of new technologies.
- Manage all aspects of both the contract vehicle and awarded multiple task orders to include cost, schedule, staffing, and technical performance;
- Manage subcontractor requirements and performance;
- Serve as the primary SAIC point of contact with the customer for the contract;
- Plan, coordinate and manage contract actions as required by the customer and SAIC;
- Provide substantial support and leadership in proposals for competed task orders;
- Provide leadership and direction of personnel performing complex tasks;
- Frequently interact with subordinates, task leaders, supervisors, subcontractors, support personnel, customers, and/or functional peer group managers;
- Assess performance of subordinates and coaches them as needed.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing software and hardware projects;
- Experience managing programs with multiple subcontractors;
- Experience with proposal writing, scheduling and budgeting;
- Experience with Information Assurance (IA);
- Experience with UNIX and CISCO
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification desired;
- Windows and/or Unix Server experience required;
- Cloud migration experience desired;
- Oracle experience desired.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 8+ years of professional experience.
Must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS
- Experience with government contracting, financial analysis, and business development;
- IT related education and/or certifications;
- Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) or other program management certification
