At GST, the Software Engineer has responsibilities for performing technical development of new software designs, planning and features for Service Platforms. GST delivers enterprise-wide service platforms for Knowledge Management and secure transfer of machine data between a customer site and the GEHC back office. Work with the latest platforms to ensure that product development achieves the objectives required to meet customer and business needs for critical components to drive growth needs. Essential Responsibilities:
- Work closely with systems teams in requirements gathering and software design

- Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms

- Designing and building strong testing infrastructure to minimize dependency on hardware availability

- Leveraging DFR for software, Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability upstream into the product development life cycle Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field

- 3 years' experience developing software for complex systems.

- Experience in the complete software development cycle and automated testing

- Strong performance history in software application development projects, working with global teams

- Experience in Object Oriented design methodology and various programming languages/platforms, including C/C++, Java/J2EE, .NET, scripting, databases

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time

- Must be willing to work in our Waukesha, WI facility full-time

- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related computer field
- Experience in software platform, advanced applications, user-interface design and/or systems engineering
- Experience in Knowledge Management Systems like Consona KM
- Team leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality, Tools and/or LEAN processes
