As a Senior Testing Specialist at Capital One you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best talent in the industry in developing test scenarios for unit, process, function, integration and acceptance testing. You will define and maintain test system configurations and perform test executions while writing test scripts for complex, integrated systems.

Responsibilities:
- Establish goals and objectives for appropriate testing cycles
- Define and manage software test environments
- Define and maintain test standards and quality assurance tasks
- Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies and automated testing tools.
- Implement test processes on projects, write test plans, procedures and scripts, and analyze test results.

As our next Senior Application Developer you will lead either a team or a specific technology, facilitating strong partnerships to drive project and service delivery. Essential Functions
- Experience designing and developing automated repeatable performance tests from the ground up.
- Hands on experience with automated performance testing tools like HP LoadRunner, LoadUI and JMeter.
- Ability to code complex scripts using HTTP, Web, Web Services, Click and Script, True Client and Citrix protocols.
- Ability to setup complex test scenarios to model production workloads.
- Ability to monitor JVMs, analyze heap dumps, analyze queries and memory profiling.
- Ability to monitor and collect result data, analyze and pinpoint bottlenecks and guide developers and other in fixing performance issues.
- An understanding of mobile and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JSP, ASP and Web 2.0 technologies.
- Understanding of the TCP/IP stack and presentation layers.
- Database knowledge (Oracle/MS SQL Server); ability to write complex SQL queries and understand data relationships.
- Develop and maintain repeatable and scalable performance test suites that can be executed on a daily basis
- Plan, design, execute and maintain different types of performance tests like load, stress, endurance, spike, capacity etc.
- Work with operations and capacity teams to gather production data to create workload models.
- Develop performance test plans based on discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in planning discussions with development and QA teams.
- Result analysis and metrics reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills and Abilities
- HP Performance Testing Tools (LoadRunner, Performance Center)
- LoadUI Pro and SOAP UI Pro
- Diagnostic Tools: HP Diagnostics, DynaTrace or any other APM tools like OPNET, AppDynamics etc
- Other Tools: JMeter, loadUI, Quality Center, HP ALM
- Shunra WAN Emulation Tools (ex. VED for HP, VE Suite)
- Technologies: Java, .Net, Unix, Oracle, SQL Server, VMWare, PROFILE, Weblogic, IIS

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or military experience
- 2 year of experience in Performance Validation
- 1 years of experience as a Performance Validation Lead

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Software testing certification. Automation certification, Winrunner, QTP, Loadrunner, Project Management
- 7 year of experience in Performance Validation
- 2 years of experience as a Performance Validation Lead
