Senior Java/J2EE Developer

Aeroxchange Ltd. is currently seeking a Sr. Java Developer (J2EE applications) to design and develop new features and enhancements to current applications.

Aeroxchange Ltd. is a privately held corporation headquartered in Irving, Texas.  The company was created by 13 global airlines as a means of creating value for all trading partners in the aviation supply chain.  Our hosted Internet site provides an open, neutral marketplace between suppliers and airlines to streamline the procurement and repair of technical and commercial assets, facilitate on-line quote and proposal activity, facilitate auctions and reverse auctions of surplus assets and assist in AOG recovery.  Simply stated, we provide aviation supply chain solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Design and develop new features and enhancements to current applications using J2EE Technologies
• Analyze the requirements, provide effort estimates, implement and test the solutions as part of the SDLC
• Assist in redesigning the applications which have design/performance issues

Minimum requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in application development using J2EE technologies
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Java, J2EE, web services and database concepts
• Thorough knowledge of application development processes, tools (Eclipse), Ajax, JSP, JSTL, HTML, Servlets, tag libraries in Java, Struts and Spring frameworks
• Experience in XML messages parsing via web services
• Hands on experience with implementing Java Security SE API in web applications including JAAS, JSSE and JCA etc.
• Familiar with Spring Security Framework or Acegi Security
• Strong background in SQL, JDBC and application-database performance/troubleshooting (Oracle DB)
• Working knowledge of Middleware based transactional processing, UNIX operating system and networking technologies
• Computer Science degree
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, work on multiple projects
• Willingness to take ownership for projects and be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment including leading collaborative projects

 Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science
• Knowledge of JBoss, JBoss Seam, Security APIs, Encryption and Decryption algorithms, supply chain management and rich user interface implementation
