Project Manager (Retail) (Contract)

Location: Melbourne Country: Australia

This Australian owned, iconic retail company are seeking the skills of a Project Manager to work on one of their high profile projects. This well-known brand employs over 6,000 people across Australia, Asia and New Zealand. There are many brands and retail outlets and they just keep growing!


  • Manage the project schedule, scope, resources and costs
  • Work with the Change Manager to manage stakeholders re the changes to process and people
  • Manage the implementation of the project to IFOTB
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure the delivery of services as per contract
  • Ensure that project management deliverables and SDLC deliverables are of required quality and content, conform to standards and are delivered within the change control process
  • Work with the Business Analysts to capture the business and functional requirements, prepare documentation for the execution of changes, walkthroughs, development and testing
  • Own, lead and support the planning and implementation of the business changes

Skills & experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a lean team in a hands-on environment
  • Exposure to different project management and project methodologies
  • Experience in the delivery of IT solutions via internal or 3rd party development and package implementation.
  • Strong retail experience with strong understanding of Merchandising, Store Operations and Marketing
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Share Point, JIRA, Confluence, Xray, Spira Test, Slack, etc. is advantageous
