For our client, a world-leading high-tech medical devices company with headquarters in the region of Zurich, Swisslinx is looking for a very ambitious Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer with prior experience in Datacenter Infrastructure Design. This position is a permanent role and offers a great opportunity of becoming an active member in the further optimization of the global IT infrastructure services.

Your responsibilities:

- Design including the reviewing and refreshing of the global Datacenter Infrastructure including cloud integration
- Transformation towards Infrastructure-as-code approach as part of the optimization of the internal IT Infrastructure services
- Becoming a driver for technological changes by striving for standard solutions as the architecture guardian in a team of solutions architects and engineers
- Evaluation of change requests including cost estimation
- Requirements engineering in a global scope
- Operating as Project Manager and Technical Leader for three global datacenters within the solution area

Your background and skills:

- 5+ years of relevant experience with focus on datacenter in enterprise environments including skills in Datacenter Infrastructure Design and Architecture
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS/DevOps services)
- Strong knowledge in the scripting, automation and orchestration of infrastructure related procedures
- Self-driven and stress-resistant personality that encourages team collaboration for finding effective solutions
- Strong communication skills in English

Nice to haves:

- Knowledge of VMWare SDDC solutions
- Previous experience gathering requirements
- Previous experience in managing projects at a global scale
