The Client Curo are partnering with a Global Company who deliver their B2B Customers cutting-edge technology. Their automated test and assurance solutions accelerate technology development in the lab, and ensure new products and services perform in the real world. Their innovative portfolio of products and services address the test, assurance, and automation challenges of a new generation of technologies: 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, Autonomous Vehicles and beyond. The company designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced satellite navigation test and simulation systems, many of which comprise radio frequency signal generators and computer systems running complex application software; all designed in-house.

The Candidate The successful candidate will have industry experience with Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT)/Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), or similar wireless technologies including test methodology and analysis skills. The role requires a confident communicator, who has the ability to explain and present technical solutions and the benefits they provide to the organisations clients in the Defence and Automotive space. We are looking for a driver, to facilitate client visits.

The Role As an Applications Engineer, you would be focusing predominantly on the military and automotive market. Reporting into the professional services team based in the UK, you will be responsible for assisting the BD teams in providing technical pre-sales and apps support in a timely fashion based on the opportunity and complexity at hand. Whilst working closely with customers it would be expected of you to build a relationship with the customer, develop deep understanding of their use case and provide feedback back to the Professional Services team and wider Business Unit.

Some elements of delivering Professional Services mostly in EMEA could also be part of the role. You will have a close working relationship with peers in Sales, Global Services, and Business Development. In addition, the role will be hybrid with occasional visits to the organisations UK office in Devon and customer site locations, particularly across the EMEA sector as needed.

Key Duties

  • Provide technical and applications support primarily in pre-sales but also in post-sales situations.
  • Engage in complex technical discussions with customers to understand their needs. Utilize deep knowledge of the companys products and services to align appropriate solutions based on client needs.
  • Help design solutions and formulate responses to RFx, deliver POC/demos, and present solutions to customers.
  • Liaise closely with engineering, professional services and tailored solutions teams to address complex customer requests.
  • Grow depth of relationships with customers in the Defence and Automotive markets.
  • Staying abreast of developments in GNSS/PNT technologies and test methodologies.
  • Provide customer feedback on products, services, and process improvements as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales Enablement team to generate application-specific materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field from an accredited university; or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience of relevant industry experience with GNSS, PNT or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation programming environments including LabView,Matlab desirable.
  • Self-motivated team player with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical material clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work closely with other people to solve challenging problems.
  • Experience using GNSS Test Equipment and/or GNSS receivers is a plus.
  • Travel may be required up to 25%
