EUC Support - Bank - 2nd/3rd Line - London (Contract)

Global IT Solutions Company requires a suitably experienced EUC Engineer to provide 2nd/3rd Line Support at their established client, a well renowned Bank, based in the City of London.

As part of a team you will provide 2nd/3rd Line Support, troubleshooting expertise across Workstations (PCs, telephones, messaging systems etc. Computing Centres that host group Servers and IT & Telecom Networks.

This is not a user facing Desktop Support Role - Its Back End end Desktop EUC Infrastructure Support

You will have strong Symantec Endpoint Protection experience

EUC Support - Desktop Infrastructure

Contract: 6 months

Day Rate: Negotiable Day rate

Location City, London

Key Responsibilities

Engineering of the technical directories, sharing and printing solutions

  • Support of the technical infrastructure dedicated to end users.
  • Implementation and convergence of the Microsoft Active Directory
  • Support of the end user's Workstation infrastructure across EMEA in liaison with other entities: DVS, TPE, APS, MKT and TFO.
  • Market Data support for UK
  • Support of the technical infrastructure for desktops, laptops, mobility devices and virtualisation solutions for end users.
  • Support of the infrastructure to facilitate access to the information systems
  • Implement the strategies to improve and converge the existing infrastructures as defined by management
  • Implement the architecture for acquisition and integration projects relating to the Workstation and supporting ecosystem across EMEA as defined by management and infrastructure architects.

Key Technical Skills

1. Service Delivery Management: Managing service transition to outsourced teams.
2. Windows client specialist: Troubleshooting (registry level) & installation W10 & W7
3. Remote access skills: Troubleshooting
4. Windows Infrastructure: Expert knowledge and troubleshooting; server, network, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. SCCM, Symantec Endpoint Protection, VMWare, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
5. MS Office suite: Expert level for Excel, Basic level for Word, PowerPoint & Access
6. Market data products knowledge: Reuters & Bloomberg troubleshooting
7. Citrix Client: Troubleshooting
8. Experience in Financial Services infrastructure project delivery
9. Communication/negotiation/conflicts management skills
10. Project Management Tools
11. Time Tracking Tools
12. An understanding of Skype for business would be beneficial
13. Basic understanding of networking and server technologies
14. Understanding of ITIL processes
