We're currently recruiting for an experienced UI Angular Engineer to join the Fixed Income electronic trading business an international investment bank.

The role will work on a strategic web application application that is used for bond issuance. The successful candidate will work on key and large epics in the book of work incl. new screens, core & shared functionalities and upgrade of the existing system.

To successful candidate must have experience developing Real Time web front ends using both REST and websockets APIs. We are particularly looking for developers with an excellent knowledge and understanding of the software engineering fundamentals as well as strong solution design skills promoting simplicity, stability, performance and scalability.

Experience as a developer on an eTrading or Front Office trading application will be a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the reengineering of the core components.
• Develop key business functionalities.
• Ensure test coverage and code is written in good Typescript.
• Development and delivery (time & quality) of key stories and epics.
• Build knowledge of the application and provide L3 support (on rota).
• Become SME of primary business workflows, requirements and constraints.
• Understand road-map and contribute to its successful delivery.
• Review design and implementation of the existing for continuous improvements.
• Proactively identify issues and propose solutions.
• Document and maintain book of work in Jira.
• Participate and contribute to requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
• Provide technical analysis when needed and formalise/document to help other developers.
• Help improve DevOps capabilities to simplify and automate build.
• Participate and contribute to requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
• Share knowledge with more junior members of the team.
• Contribute to wiki

Skills & Experience Required:

• At least 10 years of web Front End development.
• At least 4 years of Angular/AnguarJs.(with experience of Angular 1 and Angular >= 7).
• At least 3 years of Typescript (you should be able to write a Front End without React/Angular or similar).
• Javascript fundamentals.
• Commercial experience of RxJs.
• Commercial experience of websocket.
• Commercial experience of ag-grid.
• Significant commercial experience of Real Time web applications development with complex state management.
• Good knowledge of Webpack and npm.
• Excellent core programming skills.
• Experience working on eTrading or Front Office trading application a plus.
• Very good analytical skills: you are able to understand, formalise and explain complex problems.
• A mind for simplification.
• Excellent knowledge of programming best practices and design patterns particularly handling concurrency.
• Strong interest in continuous improvement and all aspects of software development and delivery.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment; keeping jira tasks up to date and planning work to fit weekly sprints.
• Good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Comfortable interacting with Front Office users.
• Confident numeracy and solid academic background in engineering, sciences or economics.
