Technical Lead - Java/AWS (Contract)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: Up to £500 per day
 

Technical Lead

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading software development teams (alongside SM, DM and BA) to deliver great technical outcomes for clients.
  • Quickly seeking out and gaining deep product, architecture, platform and pipeline understanding
  • Participating in refinement and planning sessions to help the team commit to a reasonable amount of work in sprints and PI that is ambitious yet achievable.
  • Making pragmatic decisions that deliver value to clients while adhering to best practices.
  • Understanding technical dependencies and working with other supplier teams to manage them.
  • Ensuring that the team follows coding standards and continuously improving them.
  • Ensuring guardrails for continuous code quality are following and improved.
  • Problem solving to get past issues, searching for RCA and acting on findings
  • Engaging in the wider 'chief engineers forum' to share insights, ideas and collaborate on improvements
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to help them grow and develop their skills.
  • Managing the performance of developers in the team, ensuring that they are meeting expectations and achieving their career aspirations.

Experience desired in:

    • Dev Tools/languages; Java 8/11/17, SQL, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Kubernetes/Helm, AWS EKS
    • CI/CD; Jenkins
    • Monitoring, ELK stack - Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace
