Data Governance Analyst (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £650 - £750 per day + PAYE Only (Inside IR35)
 

*Must have public sector domain experience*

What you will be doing (the role)

  • Cataloguing of Client data sharing needs from both internal and external partner organisation
  • Analyse current data sharing processes and frameworks to identify efficiencies and areas needing improvement.
  • Work closely with in house and partner legal teams to understand and document the legal gateways that facilitate future data sharing demand.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to gather requirements and identify future data sharing needs and opportunities.
  • Develop and propose modifications to existing data sharing agreements and MOUs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations throughout the data sharing process.
  • You will have a technical aptitude and hold discussions concerning data, data protection, data sharing policy and data sharing legislation.

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum

  • Ability to work independently and with autonomy to deliver required outcomes
  • Proven experience in business analysis within data-intensive environments.
  • Strong understanding of legal aspects related to data sharing and privacy.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets and circumstances and reach logical and rational decisions
  • Certifications in data privacy (eg, CIPP, CIPT, BCS Practitioner Certificate in IRM and/or Data Protection).
  • Experience with directing change to legal documents like Data Sharing Agreements and MOUs.
  • Proficient in data analysis and producing insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of current data protection laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lead workshops
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their implications for external data sharing.
  • Project management experience.

Desirable

  • Legally experienced with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and have a significant level of experience advising on data and data sharing.
  • Experience of delivering for the public sector and demonstrable understanding of the application of legal frameworks.
