Role: Frontend Developer - DV Cleared

Location: Gloucestershire, UK

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000

Hybrid: 2 days per week on-site

Searchability NS&D is working with a UK leading National Security & Defence SME to onboard a UKIC DV Cleared Frontend Developer to join their UI team.

You will work alongside the UI Development Lead and be part of an Agile scrum team performing full end to end development from design, implementation, through to testing and deployment, liaising with Stakeholders and Engineering teams to develop a fully integrated and well tested product. You will contribute to continual improvement and producing a product that is secure with a small bundle size to reduce ex filtration of data costs (from AWS).

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership of the UI team
• Define workflows, interactions and UI specifications
• Create wire-frames and storyboards to comply with accessibility standards
• Develop personas and user scenarios for usability testing
• Conduct analysis to understand the impact of the design and innovate to improve user experience

Skills Required:

• Developing UI tests using UI testing frameworks (eg Selenium, Jest, Cypress)
• Development experience using reactive JavaScript frameworks (eg React, Vue)
• JavaScript tooling and deployment (Npm, ESLint, Babel)
• Module Bundlers (esbuild, parcel, vite, webpack)
• Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines for automated build, package and deployment
• Responsive design and UI frameworks (eg Material UI), including cross browser compatibility
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and specifications (eg WCAG)
• UX experience is desirable
• AWS
