Business Analyst - Insurance Experience - Outside IR35 (Contract)

Business Analyst - Insurance Experience - Outside IR35

Our client, a leader within the Insurance industry, are currently looking to hire a Business Analyst with an Insurance background to join the team on a hybrid working contract basis for a Commercial Alignment Project. This role would be Outside IR35.

The primary objective of this project is to ensure consistent ways of working across UK&I commercial business (regardless of legal entity and trading system instance) This will be achieved by analysing existing processes, identifying alignment opportunities and agreeing a common set of processes and procedures. These process alignment changes will lead to trading system configuration changes, thus facilitating and delivering a consistent client offering under one brand.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead the meetings/interviews to elicit information to produce "as is" and "to be" process model diagrams in MS Visio
  • Work in conjunction with Acturis business analysts to produce process and requirements artefacts.
  • Work with stakeholders to produce an aligned operating procedure manual (OPM) for commercial broking business in the UK&I region which use Acturis.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience of working as a business analysis throughout the whole life cycle of projects from start-up to benefits realisation.
  • Proven experience of working in a similar process analyst capacity for an insurance-related organisation which looks at all stages of the policy life cycle. eg, sales, finance, compliance, claims etc.
  • Significant business analyst experience in an insurance-related organisation and prior knowledge of commercial lines retail business is very desirable
  • Proven experience in development of process and procedure manuals and guidance documentation.
  • Experience using or working on projects related to retail trading trading/PAS systems
  • Knowledge of and practical exposure to the Acturis system would be highly advantageous
  • Domain knowledge of general insurance processes and current insurance trends and market challenges.
  • Confident and experienced using MS Visio or similar process modelling tools
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of workflow design & Implementation of new workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate or graduate calibre. Likely to be qualified in Business, computing or information technology subjects.
  • BCS Business Analysis Diploma or IIBA certification
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)certification (or working towards
