The Power Apps Developer role is responsible for developing new Microsoft PowerApps Solutions or upgrading/improving existing solutions within the enterprise. Working with our internal teams and third parties to support project and programme delivery, data guardianship and information use across the business

Other facets of the role will involve:

• Technical/Solution design, planning and development
• Consulting on, and validating the solution against the technical and business requirements
• System testing and deployment
• Solution documentation

Key to the role is an expert understanding of Microsoft Copilot (formerly Virtual Agents), Power Automate Desktop (Attended and Unattended RPA), Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft Automate (Flow).

Related knowledge surrounding Power BI, SharePoint Online, Dataverse (CDS), SQL, Dynamics 365, User Interface or User Experience Design, or Azure DevOps experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Working on technology solutions using the Microsoft Office 365 Power Platform (Copilot (Virtual Agents), Power Automate Desktop, and Power Apps) and other Microsoft Office 365 Applications (eg SharePoint) and other cloud platforms as required (eg Dynamics 365, Azure SQL, etc.) to improve and streamline data capture, storage, rationalisation, analysis and reporting capabilities for the organisation
• Perform discovery, planning, design, development and testing for new solutions
• Analyse and propose improvements to existing solutions in use across the enterprise (CI/CD)
• Ensure solutions are aligned to business solution and data strategies
• Assist in data quality/cleansing/wrangling and data migration where required
• Provide a technical point of contact for the business, supporting their digital delivery requirements, providing expert advice and consulting on new technology opportunities.
• Working alongside and supporting their peers within the development team on technical knowledge and best practices
• Taking responsibility for delivery of products and solutions to budget, time and scope alongside testing and entry into service process compliance, and excellent customer care and satisfaction outcomes
• Correctly document all solutions and assist with any transition to test, training or support teams as required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate (Flow)
• At least 1 year experience with Power Automate Desktop and Virtual Agents
• Delivering to timescales within the framework of projects
• Stakeholder Management skills
• Ability to create and providing training to people (both internal and external users)
• Working in an Agile environment

• Applied knowledge of Agile software/Project delivery methodology
• Creating & delivering solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Virtual Agents, Power Automate Desktop, Power Apps, Power Automate & Power BI)
• Power Apps development experience including experience in best practices for building Canvas Apps & Flows
• Power Automate development experience to create automated, instant, and scheduled flows using premium and standard connectors, and the ability to use Control & Data Operations with a good understanding and ability to write Custom Expressions using Power Automate Functions
• Experience of using Azure DevOps
• Experience of working with and developing Microsoft Office 365 Applications including SharePoint, Teams, Planner, amongst others
• Familiar with Database Software (eg Microsoft, Oracle, AWS) which enables the user to create, populate and manipulate data structures
• Experience in developing and using Json to store and transport data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
