Server Infrastructure Consultant (Permanent)

Location: Southampton, Hampshire Country: UK Rate: Up to £65k
 

Infrastructure Consultant

Office Location: Southampton

Salary Range: £60,000 to £65,000

Job Type: Permanent

Hybrid Model: 3 days a week onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing up to 3rd line support to the technology teams
  • Dealing with design documentation and creating low-level designs (LLDs)
  • Dealing with maintenance and incident management of technologies
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to deal with relevant issues
  • Providing support for the server and storage across the organisation datacentres

Essential Technology/Skills:

  • 3rd line support experience
  • Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong skills with VMware products (vSphere, vCenter)
  • Windows server, Active Directory and Group Policy support experience
  • Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery processes
  • Dealing with WAN and LAN technologies
  • Experience in hyper-converged environments such as Dell VXRail
