Infrastructure Analyst - 2nd/3rd Line - London, Hybrid - 6 months - £300-£350 p/day

Robert Half are working with a global client in London on the recruitment of an experienced 2nd/3rd line Infrastructure Analyst.

This will be an initial 6 month contract with the view of going permanent thereafter

The role will involve extensive project work so previous project experience is mandatory.

Essential functions

Support:

• Provide 2nd/.3rd line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Respond to and resolve help desk escalations in a timely manner.

Infrastructure Management:

• Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, including Servers, networks, security, telephony, and other technology systems.
• Perform routine OS upgrades, system updates and patches to ensure security and performance.

System Administration:

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
• Implement and maintain Active Directory services.
• Support and administer cloud-based services (eg, Okta, Office 365, G Suite).

Skills required

• Proven experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
• Basic experience with virtualization technologies (eg, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
• Basic experience with networking appliances such as Switches, and Routers.
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
• Basic experience managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
