Linux Engineer - Leading equity trading firm

We're working closely with a leading Equity-focused broker-dealer based in London, who are currently looking to hire a Linux engineer into their Technical Service Group. It's a small and dynamic global team who play a vital role in ensuring the stability and performance of their infrastructure, ensuring operations run consistently across all regions and that data is appropriately stored, protected or archived.

The successful applicant will have:

• Strong proficiency in Linux & Linux operating systems.
• Experience of an enterprise Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS or Oracle Linux.
• Experience using & managing F5 load balancers.
• Basic networking such as TCP/IP, DNS.

Further desirable skills (not essential but nice to have):

• FPGA
• Linux Kernel
• Scripting/programming skills in Python, Java, Ansible, Per,
• Security awareness & Troubleshooting Skills
• Basic SAN/NAS knowledge
• Familiarity of network technologies: TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, Current LAN/WAN technologies
