A global leader in financial services, is looking for a Linux DevOps Engineer to join their team within Public Cloud on a long-term bare metal migration project. This role works with various infrastructure teams (Security, Networking, Database, Unix) to develop, deploy and support cloud and hybrid applications.
Role requirements:
- Use Terraform to develop and deploy available, scalable, and secure applications in AWS
- Assist in designing and implementing cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
- Design, develop and implement automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration solutions
- Provide consulting and help build pipelines for application teams integrating cloud services into their application
- Design and implement workflows to automate the release and upgrade process for applications in Development, Test and Production environments
- Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments
- Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by the team
Job requirements
- Due to the collaborative nature of the role, senior experience in both DevOps, AWS and interpersonal skills are key as the role partners with the global technical engineering and security business teams.
- Strong AWS Experience and from a Unix background (5+ years)
- Experience in infrastructure, including compute, network, database and security (5+ years)
- Strong proficiency with Bitbucket/Git, Terraform, Unix, Jenkins, Python, Ansible, and AWS CLI
- Experience with autoscaling and container based solutions like ALB,ASG, Batch and ECS
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure, and best practices. Such as K8S, Containers, Serverless, Microservices
- Strong understanding of IaC, CI/CD Pipelines, CloudFormation, Bamboo etc.
- Experience designing and developing resilient, highly available and scalable systems for the cloud
