We are looking for one "remote AI solutions specialist (ML/NLP)" to start from ASAP an initial contract until end of 2024 (extensions likely) for an international Org' -client in ROME, where 100% REMOTE work is possible. Our UN-agency client is aiming to utilize AI-driven solutions utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Model (LLM) to automate processes and enhance efficiencies for evidence mining processes. We are seeking an AI Solutions Specialist to deliver business and technical solutions that support research, evaluation, and knowledge management. Our UN-client is ready to engage in the piloting phase for prototyping and testing AI-driven solutions,

Level of effort is estimated at 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, until December 2024.
The expert will work from his/her home base.

TASKS
The position would focus in priority on:

• Research and evaluate new AI techniques, tools, and technologies to stay at the forefront of the field in UN-client.
• Advise AI pilot projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Working closely with the AI lead, data scientists, and IT solutions specialists to assess UN-client needs and ensure alignment of AI solutions with existing data assets.
• Advising on products and available solutions for AI use cases considering available market options and anticipating future evolution and needs;
• Ensure successful delivery and testing of the project pilot. Etc..

SKILLS

• At least 10 years of demonstrated, progressively responsible, professional experience in leading or contributing to complex AI and digital transformation projects
• Demonstrated senior experience with overseeing technology-led projects including Machine Learning and NLP
• Demonstrated experience with acting as interface between client and technology service provider and ensuring smooth communication both ways, understanding the larger user-focused environment
• Familiarity with UN environment, experience with similar projects and understanding of evaluation are assets
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform and open source community) for AI development and deployment.
• Skills in AI piloting and use case development and testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is essential.
