The Technical Consultant's role is to install, configure, integrate, and test Concur software for Concur Hosted implementations. Responsible for the technical configuration of customer specific environments, including all integration interfaces and technical settings. Working in tandem, and collaborating with, the project manager and the Concur Project Team, the Technical Consultant completes project milestones, builds the environments, provides client knowledge transfer, assists in integration work, and transitions the client to their Production environment.

  • Maintain all environments throughout the lifecycle of an implementation (Test, Development, Production)
  • Ability to lead client training and knowledge transfer sessions
  • Configure all interfaces ERP, Employee, Credit Card, EFT
  • Perform general issue troubleshooting and resolution, including escalations to Development
  • Communicate "best practice" recommendations based on prior experiences, and effectively troubleshoot and solve client issues caused by unique client circumstances or software/hardware issues
  • Support client's testing cycles - research complex customer problems, issues, and circumstances and provide recommendation, alternatives and risk assessments to project manager
  • Responsible for the version control of testing environment
  • Responsible for the migration of configurations to production
  • Liaison with client team members and Concur internal resources to ensure understanding and clear communications
  • Ensure completion of deliverables, managing schedules, meeting milestones, and ensuring creative/technical success
  • Develop and maintain technical product knowledge
  • Provide contributions to Concur project methodology and document library, which includes development of new documents/processes as well as updating existing documents/processes
  • Mentor new consultants that join the department and mentor peers on the team as appropriate
  • Update Customer Statistics in Knowledgebase and/or CRM systems
  • Represent the Department on cross-functional teams
  • Communicate consistently and regularly client issue status and progress with the Project Manager
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies

Position Requirements

What you'll need to be successful:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience desired
  • Experience in programming, integration, and/or implementation of cloud based SaaS environments
  • Strong working knowledge of flat file, XML files, and web service integrations
  • MS SQL skills strongly preferred
  • Concur Expense experience as a user or implementation/administration
  • Experience with FTP and PGP file encryption(or similar)
  • Experience with SSO technologies, IDP and/or SP-Init
  • Experience with ERP or HR systems
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Basic Accounting Principles knowledge a plus
  • Good communication/presentation skills
  • Analysis and troubleshooting skills
