Job Details


Release Manager (Full Time)

Location: REMOTE All States  Country: United States of America Rate: 85k - 95k

This a Home-Based position (REMOTE)

No current or future sponsorship of any kind is available for this role.


Responsible for the development and execution of the ITSM Process and integration across processes

Responsible for the effectiveness of the process

Drives the day-to-day activities to ensure the accuracy and maintenance of the ITSM Process

Participates on the appropriate ITSM Process boards and committees

Participates in the process Continual Service Improvement efforts

Actively works with all the cross-functional stakeholders - PM, Dev, Security, Flight, UAT, Change Management, DevOps and NOCC to orchestrate, track and drive the release of new features and patches/hotfixes to production.

Plan and publish Release Calendar to meet business and tech-refresh needs planned (and sometimes unplanned) on the roadmap.

Maintain the artifacts (evidences of SDLC milestone sign-offs), that are mandatory for meeting SOX and audit control requirements.

Validating all pre-requisites are met before providing final sign off for waterfall releases, patches and agile releases

Monitor pre-production development and testing environments and manage the allocations based upon criticality of the demand

Approving emergency build and deployment requests to ensure critical blocking code fixes are available within tight SLAs

Tracking and driving code merge conflicts to ensure these are resolved in timely manner and the build is available in-time for testing

Approving branch unlock requests to ensure only needed code changes make it into the branch and only with an associated Jira


Experience as a Release Manager for at least 4 years in a large organization

Ability to script and generate Jira queries and/or VersionOne reports and create dashboards

Highly organized and methodical and ability to switch priorities constantly

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead large meetings to actionable conclusions

ITIL v3 Foundations Certification

1 ITIL Intermediate

Cobit Framework with Foundations Mastery Certification

Familiarity with the related ITSM Processes and Polices
