Project Manager of New Product Development (Full Time)

  • Manage the Design of New Products for the manufacturing and/or third parties
  • Responsible for the performance and results of project teams for the development of new and innovative products
  • Responsible for the overall scope, schedule, cost management, risk management, and communication activities for the assigned development projects.
  • Ensures that all customer and company cost, quality, and timing requirements are satisfied.
  • Work closely with all Departments from concept to product launch including but not limited to Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc. in order to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • Manage the schedule, scope, budget and staffing to ensure the project stays on track and on time.
  • Prepare written documentation of processes, material requirements, test results and project activity as required.
  • Achieving product quality goals, time-to-market objectives, and meeting product and project cost targets.
  • Preparation and monitoring of project budgets.


  • Bachelor in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Will consider degree in Engineering or related field with applicable Project Management and NPD experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a major plus and highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a highly technical product development role with custom engineered industrial products
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks from Cradle to grave, a driver mentality, and effective time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of lean product development, Design for Manufacturing DFM)/Assembly (DFA)/Excellence (DFX), Six Sigma and Lean concepts.
  • Team leader, excellent communication and mentoring skills.
