Desktop Support Analyst Helpdesk IT Microsoft Windows Outlook Office 365 Manhattan New York (Full Time)

Location: Manhattan, New York City New York Country: United States of America Rate: $45-60k + 20% Bonus + 401K

Desktop Support (IT Support Desktop Support Helpdesk Help Desk Service Desk Microsoft Windows Active Directory Outlook Exchange Office 365 O365 Infrastructure Analyst Systems Administrator 1st 2nd Line Helpdesk Service Desk Desktop Operations Engineer Application Banking Trading Finance) required by my banking client in Manhattan, New York City.

You MUST have the following experience:

  • 6months + in a Helpdesk/Desktop/1st line/2nd line/Service Desk/IT Support role
  • Basic Active Directory user administration- setting up new users, deleting user accounts, resetting passwords
  • Excellent Microsoft Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 administration
  • Basic level of TCP/IP Networking
  • Desktop, printer hardware support

The following would be DESIRABLE but is not essential:

  • Skype for Business
  • Experience with resolving WiFi issues
  • Cell phone (iPhone/iOS/Android) and Tablet (eg iPad) - resolving user issues
  • Active Directory Group Policies (GPOs)
  • Microsoft Office 365

Role: Desktop Support Analyst/IT Support Engineer (1st 2nd Line Helpdesk Service Desk Desktop IT Support Engineer Office O365) required by our trading software client in Manhattan, New York. You will join a US-based IT Support department of 4 to provide telephone, email and face-to-face desk-side support. The company is 1600 people globally, and 500 people in New York. Your team is part of a wider global IT support team of 14.

The environment is largely Microsoft and will therefore incorporate Active Directory and Windows 7/10 administration such as setting up new users, deleting users and resetting passwords. From a hardware perspective, the role will involve the implementation and trouble-shooting of desktops, printers and mobiles.

You will be required to resolve basic network and connectivity issues. Any experience with WiFi, Skype for Business and cell phone/tablet support is highly desirable.

The central IT department is established and provides excellent opportunities for progression. This is an entry role that will involve significant mentoring in addition to formal Microsoft training. It will likely offer opportunities to progress into desktop support, server engineering or networking in an environment that consists of Windows Server, Linux, Cisco, SQL Server and Oracle.

This is an excellent opportunity to enter finance without any prior experience in a company that will allow you to develop and progress.

Salary: $45-60k + 20% Bonus + 401K
