They will be responsible for setting up and ensuring adherence to delivery standards, managing the team, and delivering high-quality data products in a scalable format.
The candidate will also collaborate with other data integrations lead to build a robust data platform in Azure. Additionally, the Technical Data Engineering Manager will work with various Application team leads and infrastructure to ingest data into the data lake, automate and scale to provide enterprise service for various stakeholders.Essential Functions: Data Engineering Manager is responsible for building and leading a team of data engineers that builds, manages and supports our new enterprise data platformData Engineering Manager is responsible for providing support and maintaining an integrated set of tools to help facilitate the handling, cleaning, processing and storing of data (including data warehouses, data lakes and pipeline for injecting and processing data).
Provides technical leadership over major initiatives and for various phases of the programs - initiate, discover, design, develop, deploy, and own the Enterprise Data Warehouse production support teamProvides oversight of Data Design and Development, including data architecture, modeling and ETL development alongside with Data Architect Develops, coaches and grows a team of data engineersIdentifies and delivers on changes to the operating model with a focus on measuring outcomesDelivers a high-quality, self-service Enterprise Data Platform.Drives the Enterprise Data Strategy forwardIdentify, design, and implement process improvements that include building/re-engineering data models, data architectures, pipelines, and data applicationsContinuously look for data optimization processes and oversee data management, governance, security, and analysisDesign and build an infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide range of data sourcesIncrease automation and build analytic solutions at scale to serve the business requirements Technical Knowledge/Skill: Strong familiarity with cloud technology, Azure knowledge is strongly preferredStrong familiarity with modern data architecture and toolingAbility to develop strong relationships with both your team as well as internal stakeholdersEffective leadership of direct reports including day-to-day coaching and performance management/assessment Strong analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to solve complex technical problemsStrong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills Demonstrated continuous improvement and creative problem-solving skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related technical field is requiredExperience: A minimum of ten years of experience in the field of Information TechnologyFive plus years of experience managing data engineersExperience managing vendor relationshipsExperience with a cloud data platform, ideally AzureHands on experience with an Enterprise Data Warehouse Experience creating adoption of agile, lean product development best practicesExperience designing and implementing data ingestions solution in Azure using different approachesHands on experience in building pipelines, platforms, architecture, structures, visualizations and data modelingIndustry expertise in data modeling, data mining and big data processing at scaleCompensation:Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $154,440.00 to $171,600.00, plus incentive.
