The Air Gapped Cloud (AGC) Core Operations Functions (COF) organization combines Microsoft's extensive datacenter Assurance, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) & security experience with the rigorous standards of our U.S. Government partners to create the safest and most secure cloud computing environments anywhere, enabling the mission-critical capabilities needed to keep our nation at the forefront of technology. The Datacenter Security Operations Manager leads the team protecting Microsoft datacenters - providing vital support to U.S. Government customers.

Partnering with a variety of stakeholders, you will ensure the excellence of secure operations, incident response, and emergency planning at Microsoft's most secure datacenter facilities (and other facilities as needed). Be at the forefront of the action in CO+I as part of the team securing our global datacenter operations.ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities:As the Datacenter Security Operations Manager you will lead formal and/or ad-hoc teams of internal Microsoft stakeholder partners and external Supplier partners to deliver best-in-class security operations at Microsoft datacenters with enhanced compliance requirements, including datacenters hosting classified information.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain the physical security of assigned datacenters, leading a vendor security team focused on enabling a trustworthy physical computing environment that protects customer data, intellectual property, people, and the critical infrastructure facilities in which they reside or operate and is compliant with all security controls, policies, and objectives at all timesReceive escalations/notifications of physical security and business impacting incidents/events and appropriately triage, ensure leadership is made aware and continuously updated, when needed, and ensure personnel manage the incident response effectivelyFunction as a physical security subject matter expert who can stand on their own to deliver work and represent the team, as well as lead their team to success through delegationPartner, dialogue and advocate for critical security programs with datacenter operations personnel, Facility Security Officers, security integrators and other Microsoft stakeholders to ensure secure, continuous operations, while maintaining a One Microsoft, one team environment Making and influence good decisions that impact the physical security and operations of mission-critical, 24x7 operations environmentsContinuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program, seek data and recommend strategies and ideas to reduce churn, automate, implement creative solutions, scale and simplifyDevelop and exercise contingency and emergency plans and procedures to prioritize personnel safety, while maintaining a secure environment and continuous operations Respond in person to the site within 1 hour of critical incidents, if necessary, to provide leadership and oversight of the security response Write, review, edit reports of incidents, procedures, courses of action and other critical analysis documents Deliver assigned projects in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and applicable employment law and company policyEngage with internal and external customers as appropriate to evangelize and represent Microsoft's datacenter physical security programsMaintain confidentiality, discretion, and protect Microsoft information without questionQualificationsRequired Qualifications:4+ years experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field 2+ years expereince leading people in Secuirty Program or Program Management or related field2+ years' experience in leading teams to deliver campus or multi-site security operations for facilities housing U.S. Government classified and other sensitive information, including oversight of contract guard operations, alarm investigation, and incident reportingSecurity Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirementsThe successful candidate must have an active U.S.

Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S.

Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a security or management related discipline, or 8+ years' experience in progressively more responsible security rolesExperience with or exposure to regulatory and industry compliance frameworks and audits (eg ISO27001, FedRAMP, ICD705)Experience applying ICD705, NISPOM, and other standards for the protection of U.S.

Government information in physical security operationsExperienced in the use of key performance indicators and collaborative improvement plansExperience developing and executing targeted training, practical exercises, and the documentation and application of lessons-learnedExperience developing and documenting standard operating plans, procedures, and processesExperience preparing for and responding to security compliance audits and maintaining security compliance documentationConfident and skilled in preparing and delivering presentations and briefings to customers, senior leaders, and executivesAble to write cogently and concisely, to effectively inform and persuade others Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environmentExperience providing subject matter expertise of one or more large programs/services while increasing standardization, simplification, and automationAble to change plans, goals, actions, and priorities in response to an evolving business environment with awareness to operate as a champion for course corrections when necessary Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products for businessSecurity IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
