The individual is highly motivated, team oriented, and will be a key strategic member of our IT Enterprise Architecture Team. As the Enterprise Architect of the data domain, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our data management processes, AI initiatives, and emerging technology to support the organization's strategic goals. We need a strategic thought leader who also leads and effectively partners with the business to implement modern solutions that leverage appropriate data and governance practices.

This role is on the centralized IT Enterprise Architecture Team with a scope that spans the organization. It requires deep domain expertise and the ability to collaborate with a variety of different stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive alignment with modern data approaches. It also requires a desire to establish consistent patterns and behaviors as we extend the AI platforms.

Successful candidates will also have exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, cross function integration knowledge, technical understanding of infrastructure impacts on the applications, strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.ResponsibilitiesFormulate and uphold architectural strategies and standards in alignment with our objectives.Facilitate discussions with stakeholders about the potential of technology.

Partner with senior leadership to determine and prioritize data-related architectural initiatives.Oversee data integration efforts to ensure smooth data transfer across various systems and platforms.Pinpoint opportunities for automation and process optimization to minimize manual efforts.

Engage with different business units and departments to comprehend their needs and provide architectural solutions accordingly.Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere, bridging the divide between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and automate workflows.

Collaborate with the Data Governance team on data policies, standards, and best practices.Design data models, data flows, and data integration strategies to ensure data quality, security, and accessibility.Collaborate with data engineers to implement data management solutions, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipelines.

Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to develop AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making processes.Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI technologies, adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards.Evaluate the organization's current technology portfolio and recommend enhancements and upgrades.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential benefits.Provide strategic advisory council for project activities with delivery teams to guide integration efforts.Committed to growing functional and technical skills and discovering new ways to deliver business or technical solutions.

Willing to mentor others.QualificationsExperience as an Enterprise Architect, focusing on data, integrations, automations, and emerging technology.Over 5 years of experience in data architecture.

Over 10 years of experience in relevant IT technology.Deep understanding of data governance principles, data integration strategies, and automation frameworks.Experience with integration patterns and platforms like Boomi and API management.

Strong leadership and communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to understand customer and partner business needs, lead requirement gathering and analysis, and design solutions that drive business outcomes.

Ability to educate stakeholders on complex technology subjects.Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence, collaborate and manage group dynamics to drive consensus.Ability to promote a collaborative environment, encouraging input from others and respecting others' opinions.

Preferred, not required: Relevant certifications (eg, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.AI/ML CertificationsPractical experience with Snowflake.Practical experience in Forestry Services or Wood Product manufacturingExpertise in establishing business capability modelingEducationBachelor's degree in Information Technology or related experience is required.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $135,500-$203,300 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

This position is also eligible to receive between $32,000 in restrictive stock units on an annual basis, as part of our Long Term Incentive Plan.Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution.

Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
