Sanford Health is seeking a geneticist to serve as the Medical Director for the Imagenetics Initiative. Imagenetics was established in 2014 as a result of a significant gift from philanthropist Denny Sanford. Imagenetics aims to incorporate genetics into primary care.
Applicants with a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, but experience in adult genetics and IM or FM is preferred
Minimum qualifications include MD or DO degree, BC in clinical genetics by the ABMG and five years of clinical experience in genetics
Administrative/leadership experience strongly preferred
This position is a mix of approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical time (flexible)
Applicants must be well versed and have a willingness to deploy pre-emptive genetic testing and other new and innovative genetic programs.
The initiative includes clinical genetcicists, a molecular pathologist, moleculer laboratory geneticists, pharmacogenomics pharmacists, NPs and genetic counselors
