JOB TITLE: Junior Infrastructure Specialist JOB LOCATION: Springfield, Virginia - need to be on site occasionally, a day or two every few weeks and when they are doing an implementation for sure. W2 Contract to Hire position - 5-Year Project Hourly pay rate: 40-45 JOB NUMBER: 24-00745 Must be a US Citizen who is clearable - will obtain a Secret Security Clearance Task Description: The Junior HR Infrastructure Specialist will support the operations and maintenance of the TSA human capital technology stack.

This stack runs primarily on AWS and includes technologies including ServiceNow, multiple databases, AWS services, Drupal, and containerization. Responsibilities may include system administration, platform administration, network engineering, and database administration. Tasks include:Set up and maintain application environments and databases in accordance with industry best practices and TSA security guidance Monitor, analyze, and tune system and application performance Plan and support patch management for all applications, and apply patches to all system components Plan and support application and platform upgrades Work closely with security engineers to handle non-compliance and vulnerability issues Assist other team members with research and troubleshooting of system errors and performance problems Application and system maintenance - 50% System performance activities - 20% Patch management - 20% Ad-hoc infrastructure and system administration activities - 10% Required skills/Level of Experience: Level 1: Minimum 1 to 3 year experience + Bachelor Degree or equivalent (Associate degree +2 years experience; 6 years experience; or relevant professional certification); Successful completion of higher education which has not resulted in a degree may be counted as one year of experience.

Experience with AWS administration, including architecting and maintaining AWS solutions - 5+ yearsExperience with AWS administration, including architecting and maintaining AWS solutions - 2+ years AWS certification at the Foundational level Experience with database administration, modeling, tuning, backup and recovery - 2+ years Experience with implementing and maintaining network configuration in cloud environments - 2+ years Experience with supporting containerized solutions - 2+ years Ability to research issues and provide solutions - 3+ years Excellent customer relationship management skills including effective oral and written communications - 3+ years Preferred skills: AWS certification at the Associate level Understanding of SaaS platforms, such as ServiceNow and Salesforce Experience with human capital systems, especially in support of Federal customers Experience working in agile environment, preferably using SAFE Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled.
