This is not a remote position.AS SENIOR CORPORATE COUNSEL 1 - PRIVACY, YOU WILL :Draft, negotiate, and close privacy and data protection agreements with customers, including enterprise customers in highly regulated industries, such as financial services and healthcare, vendors and partnersWork closely with global sales, product, security and partner teams on transactions that drive the company's revenueSupport commercial and procurement attorneys on data protection issues in negotiations Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentEvaluate the impact of U.S.
and international legislation, regulations and industry guidelines involving privacy and security in order to maintain on ongoing understanding of such data protection regulationsDevelop and deliver training on contract templates, playbooks and customer facing collateral covering data protection and security issues. Provide sound advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to senior business leadersSupport continuous improvements of templates, policies and processes to help streamline, simplify and automate the contracting processes OUR IDEAL SENIOR CORPORATE COUNSEL 1 - PRIVACY WILL HAVE :7+ years of substantive privacy legal experience, preferably in-house with a successful, high-growth enterprise SaaS company, with 3+ years commercial contracting experience.Excellent negotiation skills with large enterprise companiesKnowledge of worldwide data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAAKnowledge of financial services regulations, including GLBA and 23 NYCRR 500Working knowledge of SaaS industry cybersecurity concepts and security certificationsExperience negotiating security and privacy commitments with U.S.
state and federal entitiesExceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skillsThe ability to think and execute both strategically and tacticallyOutstanding written and oral communications skillsExperience scaling sales, procurement and legal processes and policies for a rapidly growing organizationThe ability to work with a wide variety of people, at all levels in the organization, in a fast-paced environmentService-oriented, professional and strong integrityOccasional travel may be required, including to CaliforniaEvery Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company's confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $153,000 - $214,200.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
